Why follow the crowds? Our guide Alfred was fantastic. His passion for York’s history was contagious. We learned all kinds of fascinating things about York’s Roman foundations and narrow covered passageways…things we may never have learned otherwise. Great job Alfred!!

Alfred was great: knowledgeable and skilled at putting York's complex history into context both past and present. It was also a pleasure to move around the city in a small group of 8 instead of trying to navigate a huge hoard! Highly recommend.
