The tour start with the Pick up in your accommodation aboard a luxury mercedes v class minivan with an english speaking driver. From there you will continue towards Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe, you will arrive at the Sapienza refuge at 2000m, from there you will visit the Silvestri Craters with a short and easy trek, then you can decide whether to take the cable car up to 2900m at an extra cost of 80 euros per person with a duration of about 2.30h. Afterwards you will continue with the driver towards Oro d'Etna, the home of honey and you will see the lava flow of 1992. The tour continues at the winery, where you will have a wine tasting & light lunch. Finally the driver will take you back to the pick up point. Sergio will stay with you throughout the tour and will tell you about our beloved land, Sicily

A really interesting tour of Etna and the surroundings. Unfortunately the weather was dreadful but Sergio our excellent guide, made up for it with his knowledge of the area and everything Sicilian! After battling the wind and rain at Etna we had an interesting stop at the Bee Farm in Zafferana and then lunch at the winery; really good wine tasting and lovely lunch of local produce at this small independent winery. It was really worth doing a private tour and would definitely recommend Sergio he is a terrific guide!

We had an amazing and unforgettable day with Sergio. We spent 2.5 months in Italy and this event was one of our highlights. We set out thinking we would see the rim of Mt Etna but due to snow the top was closed. As we approached, Sergio suggested we could actually ski on the mountain. Although we had no gear, Sergio told us how to rent it and we managed to get in two runs before heading off to a beautiful winery for food and a tasting. It was all really quite incredible. Sergio was so personable and accommodating. He is infectious with his love of the area and his enthusiasm is energizing. We highly recommend him and the tour. So much fun!!! Thank you Sergio!!!
