    Pick you up from your accommodation in Florence at 7am. Our driver will normally be at your address at 6.45am. We will then drive to La Spezia train station which will take approximately 2 hours.

    Your direct drive from Florence by private transportation stops in La Spezia.You will board the train at La Spezia Station heading to Cinque Terre. Depending on time, weather and other factors, your experienced guide will decide the order of the villages you visit.

  • Riomaggiore, Riomaggiore, Italy
    The most southern of the 5 villages is Riomaggiore. The name comes from the major river that used to run through the town. Riomaggiore is famous for its small harbour, its tall, colorful houses and colourful fishing boats.

    Moving North, we have Manorola. Manarola gets its name from a large wheel (Magna Rota) that used to power the mill in the village. Manarola is famous for its tight alleyways running up into the terraces behind the colourful houses in the harbour.

  • Corniglia, Corniglia, Italy
    Corniglia which gets its name from the Roman family Gens Cornelia. Is the smallest of the 5 villages and is situated 100 meters above sea-level. To get to Corniglia, you can climb the Lardarina, a 383-step pathway from the train station to the village or you can catch one of the regular buses.

  • Vernazza, Vernazza, Italy
    Vernazza is unique in Cinque Terre because of the small port that was built allowing ships to land in the protected bay. Here you can visit the beautiful church of Santa Margherita in the main square, or visit the Tower of Castello Dorio, home to the most amazing view of Cinque Terre. Lunch will be arranged by your guide and will be taken between 12.00pm and 1.00pm. Lunch will include local seafood dishes and fresh pasta as well as a glass or two of local wine.

  • Monterosso al Mare, Monterosso al Mare, Italy
    Fourth village to be visited. Monterosso al Mare is the largest out of the five coastal villages. The village is located on hills cultivated with lemons, vines and olives. From here, you will take a scenic boat ride to the next village Riomaggiore.

  • La Spezia, La Spezia, Italy
    Once all five lands have been seen, you will take the short ride back to La Spezia train station. Depending on time, weather and other factors, your experienced guide will arrange a boat trip between two of the villages. This trip will take you out into the Ligurian Sea and offer incredible views of the five lands from the water. Please note, on rare occasions boats may not run due to conditions at sea.

Johnny picked us up early, and immediately began our tour of Florence, even though we were going to Cinque Terre, so our entire trip was filled with information that we were excited to receive. We had a wonderful lunch, free time, great boat ride between villages, in depth back and forth talk about the villages, we were able to do 4 of the 5 and enjoyed the entire 12 hours, we decided the 5th village was too much and was so satisfied we with our tour. He did a great job and is is a true gentlemen and also knows the flora well which we also took advantage of Many thanks

Johnny our guide tour really helped with our journey, explaining the culture of living , even the plants and fruits that grow in the towns. Words couldn’t describe the beauty we seen today , had paste with pesto enjoyed . my husband does have good scents one married me second chose this tour group .

We were picked up at our hotel in Florence at 7:00 and was very delighted with our guide Johnny who was very accommodating, patient and kind, just to start. We arrived at Cinque Terre and he adjusted the tour continually to our needs and interests, he had an excellent knowledge and history of the area and also all the flora, we had a delicious lunch by the water and although we had an ambitious plan for all 5 villages we made it to 4 and left completely satisfied and looking forward to our next visit . My wife and I are grateful that we were so blessed to have had a guide with not only the knowledge of the area but a passion to share that knowledge and then the energy to walk through each village with use. All so as on the way to, on the way from Cinque Terre we are being given history, and information on the area’s we drive through. Very much satisfied, highly recommend, do not be intimidated by the challenge do 1 village or 5 or any number in between you will enjoy immensely
