Fistral Beach, Newquay, United Kingdom A chance to see world class suffers strutting their stuff both on and off the water!
Also a chance to see an original Huer’s Hut which was originally used as a vantage point to spot incoming shoals of pilchards! 5 minutes
Wheal Coates Tin Mine, St Agnes, United Kingdom Imagine a dramatic scene on the coast with an abandoned tin mine surrounded by heather and gorse and then add the view over the Atlantic Ocean and you’ll be almost close to seeing this wonderful place. 30 minutes
Watergate Bay, Newquay, United Kingdom One of the best surfing locations on the North Coast. 5 minutes
St. Mawgan Church, St. Mawgan, United Kingdom One of the best looking villages in Cornwall, with a cricket ground, pub, Ford and a convent as well as the 13th church. 20 minutes
Carnewas and Bedruthan Steps, St Eval, United Kingdom Fabulous coastal views with massive rock stacks and loads of seabirds. This is also where the opening sequence of Poldark was filmed. Great cafe for a quick bite to eat or to have a coffee. 45 minutes
Prideaux Place, Padstow, United Kingdom A charming Elizabethan Manor House built in 1592 and still owned by the same family. Walk around the grounds overlooking the deer park or take a tour of the house. 45 minutes
Padstow Harbour, Padstow, United Kingdom Still a working fishing harbour and also home to chef Rick Stein, it’s now a place to be seen in whilst rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous. 30 minutes

Tintagel Castle, Tintagel, United Kingdom The legend of King Arthur has been around for hundreds of years. This amazing location has fired the imaginations of writers, artists and even the brother of a king. The two halves have just been linked by a new bridge which is stunning from every angle.
Having parked at St Materiana’s Church we can walk down to the bridge to admire the views although entry is now timed and needs to be booked in advance (subject to availability). 30 minutes

Colliford Lake, United Kingdom A man made reservoir built on Bodmin Moor to ensure that we all have enough drinking water throughout the busy Summer months. I love this place, but I’m a little biased as my late father was the Resident Civil Engineer who built it and also Roadford reservoir further up the road! 15 minutes

We were staying at Newquay and went to port issac for the day. Thought it was lovely and returned before we went home. Parking was very difficult and the walk to the village was down a very steep hill. Not suitable really with anyone with walking difficulties. Well worth the effort.
