Come and discover the Algarve 230 metres underground in the rock salt mine. Be amazed by geological formations that are 230 million years old. Walk 1.3 kilometres along a simple but very mysterious route where the mining methods are explained to you. The 2-hour guided tour ends with a fantastic exhibition of Santa Barbara, the patron saint of miners. At the end of the tour, you'll receive a "Welcome Pack" which includes a bottle of Portuguese red wine and a jar of flor de sal, the best and most exquisite salt in the world.
