Begin your excursion by departing from Fez and traveling to Volubilis, a historic Roman city recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Upon arrival in Volubilis, explore ancient ruins, including houses, public buildings, and mosaics. Learn about the city's rich history. Leave Volubilis and head to Molay Idriss Zerhoun, a sacred city known for its religious importance and visit the Shrine of Moulay Idriss I. Next, head to the Imperial City of Meknes and see sites such as the Bab Mansour Gate, the Heri es-Souani granaries, and the mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. Take a break for lunch at a local restaurant in Meknes. Continue your tour of Meknes and visit the Koubba of Moulay Ismail, the basin of Sahrij Souani. Depart from Meknes and return to Fez, where we will drop you off at your accommodation or any other point requested.

I highly recommend hiring Bekmen Travel for your tours in Fes and around Fes. We had a complicated itinerary and Hamza was very helpful to accommodate the itinerary to our needs. We had Issam as a driver and he was very patient with all our requests making sure that we were happy. He was so great that when we came back to the car he had cold water waiting for us!! At the end of our tour, Issam made sure that we could get into our Riad by calling them in advance so the Riad will come to get our luggage so we didn't have to carried it. We have never been treated this good in any tour by before!!

HaMza picked us up punctually at our meeting point with a very comfortable and clean car. Two small bottles of water were waiting for us. A fine thought dear Hamza, if you have outside 37 degrees. Hamza was fluent in english and very communicative. We had similar taste of music and had really fun driving safely to the places with loud music. He shared his knowledge with us and made it easy for us to get into Volubilis, when he saw that there was a queue line outside the ticket place. In the evening we invited Hamza to the british pub in Fes and had a great evening with local live musicians. After midnight we moved to the space nearby which was transformed to a club. In total: Volubilis is definitely worth the visit. You need time to spend there. There are wonderful mosaiques to see and the view over the sloap is wonderful. Moulay Idriss is a nice little town. Spend some time around. You cannot enter the mausoleum as christian. Instead I would suggest to ask a local guide to bring you up to the pick of the town and enjoy the view over the village. You get that way, with a good tip, also much information about the place. in Meknes we had great food at "black pepper" restaurant Hamza suggested to us. We visited the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, quite an astonishing place. My suggestion would be to make the trip but end it in Chefschauen. Because you need to take at the beginning the same route. So you don't miss time from your trip, if you need to save time.

Hamza was my driver for the day, taking me from Fes to Volubilis and Meknes. He was having a busy day fielding calls and solving booking problems in his management capacity, but was still able to provide a first rate service. There is a restaurant that is usually part of the itinerary but Hamza was flexible on this, he took a gamble and ate with me elsewhere. Tip: Be realistic about any add-on excursions you request for your trip, drivers are people not machines x
