    The artisanal tour starts when our English-speaking guide picks you up from your hotel or riad and helps you discover the delights of traditional and famous Fassi products and handicrafts made in local workshops by local craftsmen in the heart of Fes Medina. Fes is internationally renowned for its high-quality leather goods, the majority of which originate at the Chouara Tannery, the biggest and oldest in the city, established over a thousand years ago. From a balcony vantage point, you can see the different pits where the workers wash and remove the hair from the skins before polishing them with different colors produced from natural products. Later, after curing and sun-drying, the hides are turned into shoes, clothing, handbags, wallets, etc., all on sale here at much reduced prices than in the shops. I had a fantastic journey with Hamza and wonderful experience in Morocco like local food and service.
