My boyfriend and I had a phenomenal three days in Fes thanks to Hamza & Bek Ben! We booked Riad Dar Kassim as our hotel for the weekend, which Hamza owns, and that is how we met him and learned about Bek Ben travel company.
Hamza picked us up from the airport himself, and was warm and inviting right away. He speaks wonderful English and helped us immediately when we asked for recommendations for our weekend. He helped us maximize our short time to see and do so much. The same afternoon as we landed, we started off with a private Fes ramparts tour and saw gorgeous views of the city and learned some history. Hamza drove us around on this tour himself and made time for us, even though it was not planned in advance. This helped give us a great overview of Fes to begin the weekend. In addition to the sunset views, we saw the tanneries and an amazing pottery cooperative. Hamza took us to eat delicious Moroccan street side BBQ and we had a blast.
Then at the last minute Hamza helped us book a one night private trip to the Sahara desert for the next day. Our driver Badr was a true professional, and such a kind and warm person. We are so glad we did the private transportation and did not drive ourselves in a rental car or take a big tour bus with a group. This let us relax, take in the sights without stress, and our driver knew the best rest stops and food stops. Bek Ben has a business relationship with luxury desert camps, so we were well taken care of and had comfortable lodging and delicious food. Great experience. Everyone spoke English.
On our last day we did a Medina tour, including the souk, with a professional guide named Hassan. Again, he spoke great English and was very knowledgeable and inviting. We purchased souvenirs and honed our haggling skills.
Lastly, I’d like to highly recommend staying at the Riad Dar Kassim, which is like a boutique hotel. Honestly, we quickly felt like we were visiting friends. Mahmoud, who I believe manages the hotel, was so kind and took care of our every need. He arranged dinner for us on the terrace, served us breakfast, helped with luggage, check in, walked us to a restaurant nearby so we would not get lost on the way, made sure we met our guides, etc. and was just always making sure we we felt at home and taken care of. The hotel is gorgeous and clean, and really a gem.
I have nothing but praise for the business Hamza and his team run. I will use him and his company for any future Morocco trip. You won’t regret booking travel with his company.
