The trip to Filerimos was absolutely fantastic. The church and old fortress are an absolute must visit. The views from the whole area are stunning and the beautiful walkways adorning the area are fantastic. Its wonderful to view the many peacocks roaming the ares freely. The valley of the butterflies whilst very picturesque is a little bit of a let down. The many paths & walkways are very crowded even in late September and its difficult to appreciate the wonderful nature because of this.

Great trip, the bus was very comfortable. Pick-up was prompt, I felt there was enough time at both attractions.

la prima tappa della gita è stata a Filerimos con sosta di 1 ora. Siamo stati accolti da moltissimi pavoni che si avvicinavano indisturbati e ci accompagnavano lungo il viale chiamato Golgota perché richiama le stazioni della via crucis di Gesù. In fondo al viale c'è una croce alta 18 metri, costruita da un italiano nel 1930, accanto c'è una piccola chiesina; se invece si sceglie il tragitto a sinistra si può visitare la chiesa e l'acropoli (a pagamento). Molto più spettacolare la seconda tappa con la gita a Butterfly valley dove con 4,50 euro un simpatico trenino accompagna fino alla cima della collina e pagando l'ingresso di 5 euro si scende nel parco dove si trovano splendide farfalle che svolazzano tra corsi d'acqua, ruscelli e alla fine un laghetto con una piccola cascata.
