With NortsaV Tours, experienced local company, Rovaniemi-Ranua Zoo transfer with minivan takes aprx 1 hour.  This about 2,5 km long, self walking track, in the magical forest will allow You to meet nearly 200 animals and birds that can be found in the arctic areas. The zoo is outdoors, so prepare Yourself with adequate clothing. The excursion suits for the whole family. There are some sledges (winter) and carriages (summer) available for smaller children, in case they get tired of walking. After the visit You´ll have a free time for shopping in the small boutiques. Buffet lunch available for extra charge, bookable separately on NortsaV Tours site. Duration of the excursion is 5 hours.

    Enjoy a complimentary hotel pickup and transfer from Your accommodations to the Ranua Zoo by NortsaV Tours, local experienced company. Transfer time is one aprx 1 hour. On arrival You will enter Arctic animal world and start a tour. This about 2,5 km easy walk in the magical forest will allow You to meet nearly 200 animals and birds that can be found in the arctic areas. The zoo is outdoors, so prepare Yourself with adequate clothing. The excursion suits for the whole family.  After the visit You´ll have some free time for shopping in the small boutiques. The zoo trip was great in particular they had snow compared to where we were in santa village. This allowed us to have a snowball fight, snow angels and build snow men which up to that point we wernt able to do. The zoo itself is different to conventional zoos where there are huge enclosures for the animals. We saw about half the animals as during winter some of them were asleep. The sweet shop there is very reasonable priced in comparison to santavillage where the same box sweets were 5e in zoo n 16e in santa village. The gift shop n resteraunt have a huge selection of food. Our tour guide was so accomdatiing and even gave us extra time in the zoo to have some snow fun. We have a very good time and found the trip very good.

We had a wonderful guide/driver. She was so nice and great to chat with too! The zoo is amazing as well, so spacious!

The guide was very on time and took us to the zoo, enjoy around though we did not see the polar bear , while there are various of owls as well. Recommended to go on a nice zoo trip in September!
