Earlier this month, on July 9th, my family and I visited Florence for the first time. With the help of a guide (Angelo), we were very easily able to find our platform and train from Rome to Florence. This took much of the worry out of traveling in a new country, never questioning wether or not we were on the right train. On our tour in Florence, we were very lucky to have Aldo (aka Aldy), be our guide for the day. Aldo was very knowledgeable of the city and its history, keeping everyone glued to their headsets every step of the way. On the day we visited, it was nearly 100 degrees. He made sure to keep us in the shade as often as possible, stop for water breaks, and was overall very considerate. Aldo was also very considerate when it came time to taking pictures. He always made sure the group never separated, allowing me time to take pictures on my grandpas old Canon film camera. he was always sure to strike up conversations with people in our group, and we were able to bond over our common love of photography. Out of all the guided tours we had on this vacation, Aldo was by far our favorite guide. His professionalism, good nature, and enthusiasm for the subjects of which he was speaking left an impact on us all. We are very happy to have known him, and we all hope our paths cross again. I have a friend making a trip to Italy early next year, and will be sure to recommend LIvtours, and Aldo!
