The tour began with us meeting our tour guide at a local train station which was located outside of the city center. This was concerning as we knew we were going to be arriving home late and everything would be shut down but fortunately the young lady and the bus driver said they would take us into the city at the conclusion of the tour. We then boarded a comfortable bus and we were off! We were driven into the hills surrounding Florence to the Poggio Ai Laghi vineyard. When we arrived we were greeted by a member of the family who shared with us the history of their wine while he poured generous portions of their local products which they paired nicely with bread, cheese, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. After the presentation we were led to a long table in the vineyard where we were served generous portions of wine a wonderful home cooked meal. The only thing missing was music. Thanks again for a wonderful night!

This was amazing! We had a beautiful night with an amazing host. You literally have someone cooking in the vineyard separate from the others.

Ein schönes Erlebnis. Der angekündigte Weinberg, war aber ein extra für die Degustationen angelegtes Feld mit Weinreben, angeschlossen an ein Gartenrestaurant. An und für sich alles stimmig und schön. Einblick in die Weinherstellung hatte man kaum. Man wurde in eine Halle geführt, wo man Fässer und Produktionstänke sah. Eine kurze Erklärung zur Herstellung wurde gegeben und danach wurde man direkt an einen Tisch im Gartenrestaurant gefühlt zur Degustationseröffnung mit Schaumwein. Darauf folgte Weisswein am Tisch in den Weinreben zur Vorspeise. Zur Hauptspeise durfte man 2 Rotweine probieren und am Schluss noch ein zweiter Weisswein. Während dem Essen wurde einem das hauseigene Trüffelöl sowie das Olivenöl näher gebracht. Wenn man sich danach zum Wein-Kauf entschied, erhielt man im Laden noch ein Gläschen Grappa. Im gesamten ein schönes Erlebis, gutes Essen und guter Wein. Es ist ein schön verpackter Verkaufsanlass. Wobei man sagen muss, dass wir uns nie bedrängt gefühlt haben. Darum absolut ok und zu empfehlen.
