Ride our luxury E-Bikes on a beautiful self guided GPS route, from Florence to Fiesole where the route descends through some lovely cypress tree forests and past the castle Castello Di Vincigliata and into the village of Settignano where you can stop at the great little alimentary with home cooked tasty Italian food. From Settignano you visit PoggioPiano vineyard where you will meet the Galardi family, who are owners of an organic Chianti Vineyard and olive grove near Al Girone. There you will be able to relax in the estate with a glass of their Chianti wines produced on site, along with snacks of Tuscan cheeses, meats and bread drizzled with their own extra virgin olive oils. The route then takes you along dedicated cycle paths traversing the River Arno back into Florence, leading you up to Piazzale Michelangelo to take in the views of Florence's skyline from this iconic vantage point, before returning the bikes to conclude the fantastic e-bike experience.

Take 2 on reviewing E-Bikes Florence. My first review was rejected by TripAdvisor due to me inadvertently writing a duplicate review under my gmail login (now deleted). Jon, owner of E-Bikes Florence is a great guy. He's friendly, knowledgeable, and informative. Jon was very accommodating to our large group of 12 from Wisconsin. He provided us with an interactive presentation regarding the route, assisting some of the "technologically challenged" in our group with the downloading of the Maps.ME app/maps. His bikes are well maintained and top quality. The scenery on the route is spectacular. We stopped in the small town of Fiesole for some refreshments in the town square. I highly recommend a bottle of Birra Moretti from the food cart. For those who want a challenge take a ride up to the convent. Our second stop was at the Fattoria DI Poggiopiano vineyard. We took an hour break to drink a few bottles of wine and eat some delicious snacks. The E-Bikes create a very comfortable, easy ride. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is moderately fit. The trip back into Florence was simple to navigate, but you do need to watch cross traffic as you cross streets back to the bike shop. Thank you Jon for a fabulous tour of Tuscany!

Such a fun trip through the gorgeous small towns surrounding Florence. John at the shop was kind and funny (and has a lovely Scottish accent), and even road out to where we all were riding during the tour to make sure we all were OK. My husband needed more air in one tire and he jumped right into action with a pump he'd brought. The vineyard was stunning- and the beautiful young woman who greeted us was exceptional. We were lucky to have picture perfect weather at the end of October. Some of the hills and directions were a little challenging (even with an E- bike and map app), but certainly doable. You definitely had to pay attention when riding in and out of the city, and on the small country roads, so you just need to be comfortable on a bike and have ridden an E- Bike before. Having said all that, we highly recommend this self guided tour!

One of the highlights of our trip was this bike tour. John did a great job of explaining where we need to go… The route is picturesque and easy to follow, provided you pay attention to the briefing. We enjoyed the stop for lunch and we’ll put that on our itinerary on our next visit.
