    As the guided portion concludes, your guide will escort you to the entrance of Brunelleschi’s Cupola, where your pre-reserved timed ticket allows access. Climb the 463 narrow steps used originally by maintenance workers—there's no elevator—to experience the cathedral’s dome like never before. Along the way, get up close to Vasari’s breathtaking Last Judgment frescoes and learn about their dramatic symbolism and artistic techniques. Near the top, your guide will explain the curious history of the balcony begun by Baccio D’Agnolo in 1507, with only one of eight sides ever completed. At the summit, soak in the 360° panoramic views of Florence. Afterward, continue exploring the Duomo Complex at your own pace: visit the stunning interior of Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, descend into the remains of the ancient Santa Reparata, and—if you wish—climb Giotto’s Bell Tower for one more unforgettable view.

  • After the first validation, the ticket is valid for 72 hours: you can use it to visit locations listed on your own time (Giotto's Bell Tower and Santa Reparata)
  • Appropriate clothing for a place of worship is required: access with bare legs and shoulders, and wearing sandals, hats, or sunglasses is not permitted. You may be refused entry to the Baptistery and Cathedral if you fail to comply with the cathedral's dress requirements
  • Suitcases, backpacks, parcels, containers, and large and medium-sized bags are not permitted inside the Dome(Cupola)
  • Umbrellas, canes (when not used to assist walking), tripods for cameras, and film cameras are not permitted inside the Dome
  • Knives, scissors, and metal tools that could be dangerous for people and the exhibited works are not permitted inside the Dome
  • Please note that the guided tour does not include the Brunelleschi's Dome(Cupola), you can climb the Brunelleschi's Dome on your own (Pre-reserved ticket time) after the guided tour ends
  • With your timed-reserved tickets, you can climb the Cupola Dome 30 minutes after the guided tour ends
  • Please note that the tour requires a minimum number of two guests to run
  • Please note that if you arrive after the tour start time you will not be able to join and will not be refunded or have your tour rescheduled
  • There is a possibility of cancellation after confirmation if there are not enough passengers to meet the requirements. In the event of this occurring, you will be offered an alternative or full refund

Visita Guidata alla Cappella del Brunelleschi. Esperienza unica, non solo per la meraviglia di quest'opera unica al mondo. Ho prenotato sul sito di Civitatis, per me e i miei 2 figli, in tutta comodità. Nei giorni precedenti una e-mail mi ha ricordato la prenotazione e il luogo dell'appuntamento con la guida. Quest'ultima, Marco, persona squisita, veramente disponibile, chiara nelle spiegazioni e simpatica. Ha catturato l'attenzione dei miei bambini che hanno compreso e imparato un sacco di cose nuove. Ha risposto in modo esauriente a mille domande e reso interessante ogni singolo dettaglio della visita. Le persone che amano il proprio lavoro si vedono, ci mettono il cuore e fanno molto più del "semplice dovere": questo sicuramente è il caso di Marco. Tempo di attesa per entrare in Duomo ed accedere alla Cupola non più di 10 minuti.
