Hi, my name is Matteo and thank you for being here!  In my family business we make Tuscan pottery since generations, and after achieving the Certificate of Excellence from Tripadvisor we decided to open our knowledge to everyone that is curious to discover that very ancient tradition and wants to learn its secrets. In a full immersive two/three hours class we will experience together all the process in ceramic making.  Our shop in town is like our house, it is open since twenty years and it will be a pleasure to share our passion with you. The factory is a bit outside the city (in case I will bring you there with my car) and is where we make the magic, and you will see how many hands handle one single ceramic from a piece of clay to a decorated majolica. Then I won't say more, it's a full-immersive experience that you have to feel with your eyes, your hands and your heart.

We had a wonderful morning with our hosts- so passionate and excited to Show us around their factory and teach us about the history of their craft as well as a lesson in making our own pottery! We absolutely loved the experience, would recommend to anyone. Thank you!

Matteo was extremely communicative leading up to the booking, providing guidance on how to get to the studio from Florence. The experience itself is amazing. The tour of the factory, showing every step of the process informative and delightful. And then of course the clay throwing on the wheel to build your own bowl with the master-so incredibly fun! The energy, the kindness of everyone we interacted with throughout the experience, the breathtaking handmade art. It’s an experience that my friend and I will never forget. Beyond that, Matteo walked us around the area to nearby spots so we got the local Montelupo experience. He went above and beyond and has really raised the bar in terms of travel experiences. Any future trips I make to Italy will be sure to include a stop in Montelupo to visit Matteo and his family! Highly recommend
