We spent a glorious afternoon with Paula at the Uffizi Gallery yesterday. Our family loves Art and History, but Art galleries can be overwhelming. Paula was a marvelous story-teller who made the world of the paintings come to life - she knew historical context to explain why the paintings were revolutionary or important, she knew which details to point out that we would be able to relate to, and she knew exactly where to have us stand to appreciate different perspectives. Her pacing was perfect - enough time on enough highlights but not so much as to be exhausting. We were enthralled the entire time. As a fun bonus, she also took us to a beautiful shady spot along the Arno river for a lovely view of the bridge and some refreshing juices. I highly recommend Paula!!

Silvia and Chiara were both excellent guides & helped us to experience so much in a short period of time. My mom and I spent 5 days in Florence. 2 half-days were spent with Silvia and one half-day with Chiara. Sylvia guided us effortlessly through many known and unknown piazzas and sights, including the Uffizi and the Maria del Flore cathedral. She was sharp, entertaining and provided the historical context required to appreciate the significance of what we were seeing. In between sights we learned about local politics, culture & where and what to eat. Chiara had was equally informative and energetic. We had a fantastic tour of San Spirito and then spent an hour or two in the food market where she had arranged tastings of truffle oil and balsamic vinegar. Never did I realize there was so much to learn about balsamic vinegar! All in all, we really felt we were able to experience and absorb much more with Silvia and Chiara than we could have on our own. We are grateful for their sense of humor, efficiency, knowledge and kindness.
