On the train have a little nap or enjoy your scenic ride out of the city, arriving in Pisa approximately 1h30m later. 90 minutes
Leaning Tower of Pisa, Pisa, Italy Upon arrival, follow your tour leader to the Field of Dreams (Piazza dei Miracoli), a verdant expanse home to the city’s most important sights: the Leaning Tower of Pisa, the Baptistery and the Duomo. Here you will be completely free to visit the main sights independently for 1h30mins 10 minutes
Piazza dei Miracoli, Pisa, Italy During your free time you can pose for photos by the Leaning Tower and, depending on availability, head inside for a guided tour (own expense). Riomaggiore, Riomaggiore, Italy Reach Riomaggiore from La Spezia with a 10 mins train ride. Here you will have 1 hour. Wonder at the tightly packed pastel buildings as you stroll along the cobbled streets with your guide. Learn from your local guide that centuries ago in Riomaggiore, the tall, colorful houses were built in rows with alleys, arches, and steps for defense against pirates and that each house till today has two entrances, one at the front and one at the back on the higher road, for easy escape during attacks.
In June, July & August the stop in this village is not available due to the crowds in Cinque Terre to allow to spend more time in the other 2 villages which are considered the most beautiful ones. 60 minutes

Elisa was amazing. Very knowledgeable and she did a great job of navigating us when the trains had a delay. We had plenty of free time at each location.

Our tour group took the train (with multiple changes) to and from Cinque Terre, which for someone who has never taken the train, was quite an experience. Our guide, Kristina, made it both fun and experiential. We visited 3 of the 5 villages. They were all very beautiful unfortunately quite a few of the shops were still closed. Kristina provided commentary throughout and gave us sufficient time to explore the villages on our own. We did not do any hiking....if we had to do it all over again, we would include that in our tour. Pisa was equally nice, we only wish we had been given an opportunity to go into the Duomo or tower. One suggestion for the future: headsets would have been a great addition to the tour, especially during the portions where we were walking with Kristina.

What a great day. Our tour guide, Kristina, navigated us through the many train changes wonderfully, taking time to chat with each of us, getting to know what was important to us and showing us where to find it. The towns of Cinque Terra were as picturesque as I had hoped and Pisa was a great add on to see the Tower, baptistery and cathedral.
