Enjoy this unique bike tour off the beaten path, in a small group, around the authentic Tuscan countryside, just a few kilometers from Florence and into Mugello, a little slice of heaven. After a short walk into the small village of Vicchio and around its beautiful lake, begin your ride into the countryside, away from traffic. Along the way you’ll meet a Romanesque Church, a Villa from the Medicean era, and see the home of Giotto, always surrounded by nature and the typical Tuscan landscape. Take your time to stop and taste some delicious local food and wines, discovering the secrets of the local cultivation, animal farms and food, to deeply know the rural culture that has characterized this territory over the years. This was the highlight of our trip to Italy. A perfect combination of visiting a beautiful part of the Tuscan countryside (non touristy), visiting a family vineyard and a saffron farm while enjoying a cycle.

Simone was very professional and personable. We took an hour train ride for under 6 Euro each and Simone met us at the train station. We were set up with great equipment and had a great time even in the rain. Simone had a rain jacket for me. We had a nice stop ay the saffrom farm where we petted a Vietnamese pot belly pig Pepo, a horse, bees and rabbits We took a quick trip onto the charming town of Vecchio and Simone pointed out a great restaurant in town that we had a delicious meal. He even followed up with us after the tour to suggest a place where my husband can rent a bike. We will be booking future tours with him. If you want to take a quick trip and have fun riding in the country, book this. He's a real gentleman too. When I got tired he helped me take the bike up the hill. Thanks for a great experience Simone!

Simone was a great tour guide. The bike tour was more than I expected in a good way. It was a ride all throughout the small, beautiful countryside outside of the busy city of Florence. The views were great and the snacks were perfect.
