Everglades National Park is unique on our planet. It is a wonderful, water-filled paradise that is best accessed by a quiet, slow-moving, shallow draft boat. One of the best loved residents of the Park are Bottle-Nosed Dolphins. Watching dolphin, in their natural habitat, interacting with each other, something that you will never forget. Our full-time, formally trained, Florida Master Naturalist guides will safely take you deep into the 10,000 Islands of the Everglades. While searching for dolphins, manatees and some of the 300 different species of birds that call the Park home, you will learn about the different Everglades ecosystem, its long history and rich culture. You will have fun and learn a lot. Don't forget your cameras! Note: June through October, we suggest the morning experiences due to the weather.

Explore Everglades National Park's 10,000 Islands with a Florida Master Naturalist guide on this two-hour boat tour. The Boat tour was a highlight of our Miami trip! We chose this option instead of an airboat and were so glad we did - the airboats are very loud (need earplugs) and you cannot take them into certain areas of the Everglades because of that noise pollution. This was a small, quiet boat that allowed us to get close to the wildlife and enjoy them without scaring them. We got to observe many different birds nesting including a bald eagle, see mangrove forests, get off the boat to take a walk along a quiet strip of sand, and have the amazing experience of seeing 3 dolphins play along with us by chasing the boat! The tour guide was a great captain, very knowledgeable about the wildlife and Everglades, and cared about taking care of the natural habitat! Highly recommend for anyone wanting to experience the Everglades!

The most enjoyable parts were being out in a boat in great weather, meeting my first “live” horse shoe crab, and learning a bit more about the origins of the park/islands etc from the guide. Some of the info was already familiar to me and I’d seen other parks like the Robinson Preserve. I greatly enjoy cultural anthropology and archeology so wouldn’t mind more of that focus. Also maybe just a kayaking excursion. Thanks again!
