    Skim across the grassy water at speeds up to 40 miles per hour while looking for wildlife like alligators, fish, turtles, and wading birds. This general admission ticket includes entrance to Sawgrass Recreation Park, a 30-40 minute guided airboat tour and an admission to our Alligator & Reptile Exhibit. Just 25 minutes from Fort Lauderdale, the safest and most entertaining and educational way to experience the Everglades’ unique subtropical ecosystem is at Sawgrass Recreation Park.

  • Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Reservation date and time required. Tours leave every 30 minutes from 9:30am to 3:30pm
  • Any age child can enjoy the airboat tour. Children 3 years and under are free. It is not necessary to purchase a ticket for ages 3 years and under.
  • Tour operator reserves the right to cancel the tour due to inclement weather
  • If you have selected the 4 p.m. time please note that it is a check in time only and that your airboat adventure will be leaving the dock at 5 p.m. so that you have ample time to explore the exhibit areas before they close at 5 p.m. 
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

Great time. Don't skip the animal encounter in the back. The guy who assists there has tons of knowledge and is great with kids.

We had an amazing time! It was a surprisingly smooth and tranquil ride, even with the roar of the motor behind us (They gave us ear plugs). It was beautiful and serene out floating over and through the grassy "river". Captain Jack took good care of us and gave us a great lesson the grasslands ecosystem. Fun and informative, he made sure we had a great time time. We did finally find a gator and follow him around for a minute, but even if we had gotten skunked, it would have been a fun time. My only "complaint" would be that we had such a good time, we left without visiting their animal exhibits (The staff should make a bigger deal about telling people so they don't miss it, it's really great to see) . My girls were originally most excited to see and hold the "baby alligators". Luckily we remembered a few miles down the highway and then turned around and went back. So glad we did! Nick spent tons of time with us and taught us so much about alligators and crocodiles that we never knew. We saw more gators and snakes and lizards and we all got to hold Pickles the alligator. It was a highlight to the highlight of our day. Thanks Jack, Nick, and Sawgrass!

We really enjoyed the tour and learner a lot about alligators. The animal sanctuary was really cool and you can tell staff are knowledgeable and really care about the animals Watch out for the birds and the concession trailer. One took a quesadilla right out of my sister’s hand.
