    Skim across the grassy water at speeds up to 40 miles per hour while looking for wildlife like alligators, fish, turtles, and wading birds. This general admission ticket includes entrance to Sawgrass Recreation Park, a 30-40 minute guided airboat tour and an admission to our Alligator & Reptile Exhibit. Just 25 minutes from Fort Lauderdale, the safest and most entertaining and educational way to experience the Everglades’ unique subtropical ecosystem is at Sawgrass Recreation Park.

  • Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Reservation date and time required. Tours leave every 30 minutes from 9:30am to 3:30pm
  • Any age child can enjoy the airboat tour. Children 3 years and under are free. It is not necessary to purchase a ticket for ages 3 years and under.
  • Tour operator reserves the right to cancel the tour due to inclement weather
  • If you have selected the 4 p.m. time please note that it is a check in time only and that your airboat adventure will be leaving the dock at 5 p.m. so that you have ample time to explore the exhibit areas before they close at 5 p.m. 
You can cancel up to 24 hours in advance of the experience for a full refund.
  • For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
  • If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded.
  • Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience’s start time will not be accepted.
  • Cut-off times are based on the experience’s local time.
  • This experience requires good weather. If it’s canceled due to poor weather, you’ll be offered a different date or a full refund.

It was nice seeing gators out in the wild even though we only got to see 2. They had knowledgeable staff at their exhibits.

We saw two alligators on the airboat tour, but honestly, just the ride around the sawgrass and visiting the animal exhibit was worth the price of admission! Rick was our airboat captain and he made sure to answer all our questions and give us a great ride. Nick was at the alligator/croc exhibit and he was extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk with. He brought out an alligator to pet which was a bonus. Great experience!!

Disappointing. Did the trip off cruise ship and had been advised it was a 4.5 hour excursion- they used Floridatours. Com. It may be that the cruise ship’s description was the issue and if you go direct maybe it’s better. We had 30 minutes at most on the water, I had expected rather more steady cruising for wildlife but after 2 different birds and 1 alligator the captains said we’d covered the wildlife and we were wizzed off for the fun speeding. We then looked at a few animals in very small enclosures. I gather they rescue them but it was rather sad and inadequate looking. The chap telling us about the alligators didn’t project his voice and kept talking away from us so we don’t hear much. He kept his hood up the whole time. Coffee- tasty but painfully slow and we only had it because we had an hour hangings about before the coach left.
