Fort Lauderdale Segway Tour

The morning of our tour we were disembarking a cruise ship. Unfortunately, customs caused this endeavor to take much longer than expected so I called the Tour Operator (Mike) to explain. He was very understanding and said not to worry! That to let him know when we were out of the port and on our way and he would make it happen. When we finally made it to the tour, Mike graciously made us very comfortable, giving us a thorough rundown of how the Segways operate and how to ride them easily as this was our FIRST TIME ever stepping on them. He gave us practice time in a parking lot to zing around, stopping and starting and learning to turn with ease. Safety and feeling secure were one of his top priorities before we began our city journey. It was much appreciated! We signed up for the 2hr tour as our flight didn't leave until that evening and although we had been to Ft. Lauderdale before, we hadn't had the chance to really explore the "Venice" part of the city and thought this would be a great way to do that. And it really was! Mike as our guide, we zoomed easily over railroad tracks, through city-parks, along the canals, over the draw-bridge, and through magnificent neighborhoods. All along the way, Mike would tell us of the history of Ft. Lauderdale, the age of the canals, the trees and nature of the area, and their preservation laws. Mike handled taking pictures and videos of us along the way to share with family and friends. This was especially nice. and he made it so easy afterward to air drop it right there. Mike was fun and full of great information he shared about the City and all the happenings with development and had great suggestions for further exploring restaurants and shopping. We stopped a few times for footrest and land time ;) enjoying the view of the ocean by the White mansion and even meeting a couple of local celebrities and chatting for a few minutes with them. It was a beautiful day in Ft. Lauderdale and Mike made it even better by giving us a very memorable and vivacious tour on Segway's! I highly recommend this method of seeing the city and although we were hesitant to board and learn how to ride the Segway's Mike (As our butler) made us feel at ease! It was much easier than we anticipated it to be! Book this tour and ask for Mike as your guide, you won't be disappointed at all!

Our tour guide Mike, friendly & laid back, familiarized us with the segways, even though, we were experienced riders. He was very safety conscious & extremely knowledgable about the areas & histories. Also, we appreciated all the photo's & videos, he took of our experience. Other then, the Riverwalk, we covered out of the way locations, that we never experienced, including the land side of the Mansions along the intercoastal waterway. We covered quite a distance. We were fortunate to be the only 2 people on the tour, which made it even more memorable..Our next visit, we will definitely Contact Segways Fort Lauderdale,LLC & ask for Mike! If we could give more stars we would!
