Come join us SCUBA diving some of the most beautiful reefs within the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary and Pennekamp State Park. We have many different reefs to explore: Molasses, Elbow, French Reef and the famous Christ of the Abyss on Dry Rocks. These protected areas offer an opportunity to see turtles, spotted eagle rays, moray eels and a variety of different fish. These special reefs are part of the 3rd largest living reef system in the world and the ONLY living coral reef in the US. We stop at two different sites on the reef. The sites are chosen by the captain based on the day's sea conditions. We cannot guarantee any specific sites. IMPORTANT: You MUST be SCUBA certified with recent dive experience for this activity. If you have not been diving in more than one year, you may be required to hire a guide at an additional charge. If you have not been diving in over two years, you will be required to take a refresher course. Single divers may be required to hire a guide.

We dove three days with Pirates Cove. Everybody in the dive shop were super friendly and helpful and all three of our captains and Brandon were great! We will be back to dive Key Largo with them again soon! Stay at the Reef house for a super convenient dive experience! We saw moray eel, eagle rays, barracuda, grouper, stingrays, hogfish and tons of species of fish.

Great 2 morning dives. The crew Capt John and Brandon were very professional and Competent. They both gave excellent briefings on what to do not do on the boat and when diving in the marine sanctuary. Their primary concern was safety first and that everyone have a great time. I had no dive buddy on this trip. Therefore I engaged the services of one of their very competent dive professional's. Dana, is a great professional and dive guide. She knows the reefs well and where the fish hang out. She made the dives great. Also, I must mention, Caiti, Kelly and Krissy, who were manning the office. They were very helpful and accommodating working with my schedule. Also, answer emails quickly.

First day of visit the staff was extremely helpful on sharing a list of recommendations of what activities are the best on in the area. Here on business but wanted to make the best of off time. The recommendations made this visit one of the best work trip experiences I’ve ever had. Also the activities offered by Pirates Cove are amazing and loved their little shop.
