Terrible. Just a ride on the bus thru town telling you a few stories about people who died. Do not waste your money, not worthwhile at all.

As a local, I am proud to say that this is definitely one of the most informative tours you can take. It was also very entertaining as we rolled the streets and people were yelling at us. Our guide Mayhem Molly handled the entire tour very professionally and even gave us some great laughs. She really focused on the importance of the spirits who live in Key West and told their stories with enthusiasm! The shuttle driver was also incredible and very friendly. Overall, I highly suggest this tour, especially if you have Mayhem Molly as your guide!

We did this on a whim at the invitation of some friends. We arrived and were a little turned off that you couldn't bring alcohol on board, and the ticket taker was really snippy about it. A woman in a pirate costume outside of the bus prevented a couple from bringing on those squishy water bottles you get a bars and made them dump it out. This is a nighttime activity in area surrounded by bars. Why does it half to be dry?
We boarded the bus and met Howard, the bus driver. He was born and raised in Key West and had a great personality. He was funny, charming, and charismatic. He talked for a bit and did a magic trick. Things were looking great for this tour!
Then we realized he was not our tour guide. Our tour guide boarded in a silly pirate costume and sat down. It was the woman who had just enforced the alcohol rule. OK... well, maybe she's going to be a good guide. Reader, she was not.
I don't usually like to call out people on Tripadvisor by name, but I feel like I have to. She made what could have been a fun, campy ride into a miserable hour. Her stage name was Mayhem. I'm sure she's a perfectly nice person, but this is not the right job for her. She has zero stage presence, zero comedic timing, and zero charm. Her jokes were met with dead silence. All of the energy was sucked out of the bus every time she spoke. A few times in the tour Howard would pipe up and tell a quick story of a joke and the bus lit up with laughter. Then Mayhem would speak again and we'd all go back to sleep, dreaming of being anywhere else with a beverage in our hand.
I'm sure other tour guides are much better (I don't know how you could be worse), but I would advise you to skip this tour and take a bike tour during the day. It's kind of lame to be in a bus when you could bike the city and get some exercise. We ran into a bike tour the next day and eavesdropped for a bit and learned more about Key West in those 4 minutes than our hour on the ghost tour.
To be fair to Mayhem the tour script (and it is very much a script) is outdated and had many off putting elements that were misogynistic and cringe inducing. Also there was a story about "men in hoods" that was very clearly about Klansmen that didn't mention the Klan by name. Rubbed us the wrong way. The script needs a 2023 re-write. If you're a Desantis supporter perhaps you'll have no issues.
