Since May 2024 and the unveiling of the 5th building, the Airborne Museum is now one of the biggest D-Day museum of Normandy and of Europe. Through spectacular museography, the Airborne Museum will make you live the D-Day alongside the American paratroopers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne. Discover an exceptional collection of historical artifacts, an authentic glider and a C-47 aircraft that participated in the D-Day operations.

    In the building "Operation Neptune",  prepare to live the parachuting of June 6, 1944! Embark at night in a real C-47 plane in England, then land on the place of Sainte-Mère-Eglise in the middle of the fighting and take part in the battles that followed. A 20-minute film recounts with emotion the life under German occupation and the liberation of Sainte-Mère-Église and the Cotentin region. New this year, you will be able to go back in time with an Histopad! Thanks to the Augmented Reality, interactivity and hyper-realistic graphics of the Histopad tablet, you will be transported to the heart of Normandy in 1944 and experience the highlights of the D-Day. Immersion guaranteed! To witness the German occupation, to attend the landing of gliders, to manipulate weapons and equipment to understand how it works, to meet the destinies that have marked History ... all this is now possible thanks to high technology of Histopad!

Musée très bien conçu avec plein de reliques de d’anecdotes. De plus il est très interactif et moderne dans sa construction et dans la progression. Beaucoup d’émotion qui a plu aux ados et aux adultes

Musée très complet, avec différentes approches des évènements. Briefing très intéressant, beaucoup d'objets d'époque, hologramme super bien fait. Visite avec tablette interactive, qui pour nous n'était pas indispensable tant les informations sont déjà très nombreuses par les différentes expositions. Très beau musée, à faire.
