First of all I say possibly not for kids because of how much reading their is.
I'm not against that myself but I feel kids may get bored and rush around.
The museum at the entrance isn't well thought out as as soon as you enter the turnstiles you're at the start of a history wall with lots of writing about the timeline of how the second world war came about.
The artifacts on display were brilliant and I really enjoyed looking around these. Lots of information for every single piece. There are short films in places and areas to have a sit down along with some interactive bits too.
The bunker I found a bit disappointing personally but the gardens were very impressive.
I really enjoyed the food. We went to the restaurant around by the cinema area and had the burgers. Some of the best food I've had at a visitor attraction

This has to be one of the best museums that I have been to that tells the military history of the area during WW2, there is a brief overview of WW1 With several cinemas along with a 360 degree visual experience is a must see for anyone interested in history. There is a good display of artifacts including a Mig jet in the lower area of the museum, there was a tank and rocket launcher but on the day I visited they we unable to be viewed. To the side of the building is a lift that takes you to the WW2 bunker giving you an explanation for its use. We were there for over 5 hours and I thought it was good value for money. They is a restaurant and extensive book shop selling books pertaining to the Second World War.
