Meet your guide at 9.00am (9.20am on Saturdays & Sundays) in front of Reims Centre train station. Drive by “Notre Dame de Reims” cathedral and absorb the historical atmosphere of the city. Enjoy a tour of Veuve Clicquot's cellars (If not available, Veuve Clicquot can be replaced by a similar house) and taste 4 cuvées. Discover the village of Hautvillers, the birthplace of champagne where Dom Perignon is burried and rive through the famous Champagne Avenue in Epernay, where some of the most prestigious estates are based. Be welcomed in Mareuil-sur-Ay at a typical Champagne House and get an introduction on how to taste champagne wines. Enjoy a traditional lunch, homemade, with regional specialties with more tastings. Meet a small champagne producer, visit the press, tank room, cellars and appreciate several tastings of their production. After a day full of precious souvenirs, your guide will drop you off in front of Reims centre train station at 5.30 pm.

    Excellent experience! Thomas was a great guide who was able to balance letting the group chat and giving us info on the region. He also was so helpful and willing to accommodate guests between holding bags and umbrellas, taking photos and making us aware of if we would be inside or outside. Lunch was great, tasty and a real substantial lunch, not just snacks. The pace was also good, 13 tastings with good variety and pacing.

    This was such an amazing day! Xavier was so kind and knowledgeable, and fun! We missed our train in the morning and Xavier helped us modify our schedule to be able to still make the most of the day. It was so perfect to get to tour a big house and see smaller production. The lunch was the best we had on the whole trip. The end of the day was spent a small family producer. I learned so much and experienced so much. Highly recommend!

    This tour provided education about different types of champagne starting with history and a large producer in Reims with Veuve Clicquot, a tasting and lunch at a bed & breakfast, and a visit to a small producer. We were dropped at Veuve Clicquot for the "Taste the Vintage" tour of the chalk cellars with a blind tasting of Yellow Label Brut and a vintage cuvée. The tour was in English and included an interactive tablet showing historical photographs and descriptions in multiple languages. Most of the tour was spent at a bed & breakfast in Aÿ-Champagne. Our tour guide introduced us to different types of champagne during a tasting. We had lunch outdoors in a covered, heated area. Another tour was at the property at the same time. Our final stop was a small producer in Chigny-les-Roses. We toured processing equipment (destemmers, presses), barrel and steel aging, and the cellars before having a tasting.
