Enjoy a full-day sightseeing tour of the American sectors of the D-Day Normandy invasion. An experienced English-speaking guide will show you the battlefield sites and explain in detail the events that occurred. To join this tour, you and your small group will need to take the train from Paris St Lazare to Bayeux and catch a return train to Paris from Bayeux after the tour. This pleasant train journey takes just over 2 hours in each direction. Please note that the train ticket is not included in the price of this tour. As someone else will be doing the driving for you, you will arrive in Normandy stress free and relaxed. The tour departs from Bayeux train station and your guide will be waiting for the arrival of your train from Paris.   • Omaha Beach, Saint-Laurent-sur-Mer, France
    You will be given a great overview of the beach landings that took place on Omaha Beach on June 6th, 1944. After which, you will have around 15 minutes free time to walk on the sand (depending on tidal conditions) where American forces landed on D-Day.

    The guide will lead you into the incredible American Cemetery and explain many key facts about when it was built, why it is located where it is and many of stories of the men and women who are buried here. You will be given around 45 minutes free time to explore on your own.

    Stop three is the incredible Pointe Du Hoc. This impressive site was an objective for American Rangers on D-Day. Your guide will take time to lead you around the site and explain the remnants of the German fortifications and explain how the Rangers ultimately succeeded in silencing this incredible German long range coastal battery.

  • Sainte Mere Eglise, Sainte-Mere-Eglise, France
    We stop at Sainte Mere Eglise to explain the importance the 82nd Airborne operation on D-Day. At this location, we will stay for 1 hour and 30 minutes. During this time, you will be given 1 hour of free time for lunch. Please note that lunch is not included in the price of the tour. Should you prefer, you can utilise the whole 90 minutes for your free time. You can grab a quick snack and then visit the impressive Airborne Museum. At the heart of Sainte-Mère-Eglise, facing the church where John Steele famously was caught, hanging from the bell tower by his parachute. The Airborne Museum makes you live and understand the D-Day from the invasion preparations in England, through to the battles for liberation. Board a glider and a C-47 aircraft with sound and light effects for a total immersion. You will also accompany the soldiers of the 82nd and 101st Airborne Division in the decisive battles of the Normandy Landings thanks to an hyperrealistic museography.

    Your guide will give you a detailed account of the landings by the American 4th Infantry Division before allowing you some free time to explore the many monuments that are located here.

    Situated approximately 5 miles from Carentan, the small village of Angoville-Au-Plain witnessed heavy fighting between the German Paratroopers and American Paratroopers that dropped close by at dropzone D. After our 101st Airborne briefing, you will then hear the incredible story of two Airborne Medics. Kenneth Moore and Robert Wright displayed not only courage but also humanity during the desperate struggle to take this small area of Normandy.

This was an amazing tour! The weather was rainy, cold and windy but that didn’t take away from this tour. Jordan is an amazing tour guide and extremely knowledgeable about the D-Day landings and operations around Normandy. I spent a lot of time researching tours for Normandy but didn’t want to spend the night in Normandy. This tour stopped at all the must see sights and was perfect for one day. I don’t think I missed anything. We caught the first train out of Paris and was met by a tour representative at the train station in Bayuex. From there on we enjoyed a comfortable tour van ride to our spots. Jordan gives knowledgeable information on all the little towns and villages we drove through on our way to the spots we stopped at. During lunch you will have 90 mins for lunch and Airborne museum. I would grab something quick at the restaurants and give yourself At least an hour at the airborne museum. There is a lot you don’t want to miss. Our train ride back to Paris had a weather issue and was not being serviced at Bayeux and members of the tour would need to catch the train in Caen. Jordan helped out the members of the tour and drove us to Caen to catch our train to Paris. Thank you for an amazing tour! I highly recommend this tour!

Our guide, Pascal, was very knowledgeable, enthusiastic, and accommodating. He is passionate about the stories and entertained us well! Great day and great tour. We felt like we not only saw all the beaches of Normandy, the Air Force museum, and the American cemetery but we also saw quaint French towns and churches. Really great tour.

Pascal was an awesome guide! Very knowledgeable, passionate, and had a great sense of humor. The sandwich place he took the group for lunch was also outstanding. The best eclairs I have ever had! Everything everyone else has said about the tour is as advertised. A very educational and moving experience.
