Visite très intéressante d'un ouvrage de défense dont l'état de conservation est remarquable. En deux heures de temps le guide nous a plongé dans la drôle de guerre et le début de l'offensive allemande en mai 1944. Le fait que des bénévoles entretiennent cet ouvrage et le contenu (canons, tourelles, générateurs, ... ), donne un aperçu réel de la vie du soldat dans ce fort.

Visite commentée par le président de l'association qui est un véritable passionné et fait découvrir l'historique de la Ligne Maginot au travers d'explications à la portée de tous. La visite dure environ 2 heures 30 et il est indispensable de porter des vêtements chauds, même très chauds (température 13° avec un taux d'humidité énorme!). Visite incontournable car si on connait l'existence de la Ligne, on n'imagine pas la complexité et la grandeur de la structure..Et la Michelsberg n'est qu'une infime partie de celle-ci.

We loved it. We knew about the Maginot line but we would never have imagined its magnitude. Extraordinary restoration and conservation work they are doing. 100% recommended. I don't give it a 5 because they should be better prepared for non-French speakers, some kind of audio guide would be fantastic.
