Mont at Michele was incredible. Unfortunately we had rain all day and heavy at times. This did detract from the experience. Our guide was very knowledgeable but at times a bit annoying. He kept asking questions and when nobody answered he would keep asking instead of simply giving the answer.

Emma King saved the day for us. When we were waiting for our pick-up, we received a call that our tour was cancelled due to the guide calling in sick that morning; Viator had no replacement guides. While we were pondering what to do to visit Mont St Michel, Emma King called us. She worked in the office and asked her boss if she could take us and the other two couples who had signed up for the tour to Mont St Michel. Luckily the boss said yes. While Emma was not a certified guide, she sure seemed to fill all the roles and responsibilites of being a certified guy. We had a delightful day with Emma and are eternally grateful to her for taking the initiative to make sure her company's clients were not let down. Cheers to Emma for a memorable day at Mont St Michele.
