    Your guide will pick you up from your accommodation or meeting point in Franz Josef, and drive you to the glacier carpark. From there, you will walk with your small group tour and guide to about 2000m from the Franz Josef Glacier terminal face, at the end of the forest walk.

An absolutely brilliant experience. Our guide, Sophie, was a specialist in biodiversity and conservation and provided fantastic knowledge about the geology, natural history and in particular the bird life. We did the Fox Glacier/Lake Matheson tour but I couldn’t recommend Glacier Valley Eco Tours more as a way of helping you explore the Fox Glacier/Franz Josef area.

Good flora tour, well guided and organised, the glacier is too far away from the viewing spot. This should be explained prior to booking
