We begin with a brief drive-by city orientation tour to see important monuments and building in the city centre.

    Should you choose to take the optional boat trip to Seal Island, the duration will be 45-minutes. This excursion is weather-permitting. Please take along a light jersey because the temperatures tend to drop when we are at sea. Note that we will not disembark at Seal Island but will remain on the boat and view the seals from there.

    From the Cape of Good Hope we will drive to Cape Point. Arriving at Cape Point we will have a choice between a 15-minute hike or take the Flying Dutchman Funicular to the Cape Point Lighthouse. Here we will also explore the most south-western point of Africa, known as the Cape Point, where the cold Benguela from the Atlantic Ocean, meets the warm Agulhas current of the Indian Ocean. The Two Oceans Restaurant is also a good option should you wish to have a sit down lunch if it is open. Alternatively, there is also an informal eatery where you can buy a light lunch takeaway.

  • Boulders Beach Penguin Colony, Simon's Town, South Africa
    Our next stop will be the Penguins colony in Boulders beach, where your guide will escort you to the viewing point to see some of the 2500 breeding pairs of African Penguins at close range. You may even find one or two of these enchanting creatures walking alongside you on the boardwalk.

    Our return route is past Muizenberg where you will see the coloured beach huts. The beach huts are used as changing rooms. These are reminiscent of the “bathing machine” of the 1800s, which was a cart-like structure that was wheeled down to the water’s edge, allowing the ladies to change into their bathing costumes.

Overall a great experience! Our tour guide and driver Kembo new all the good spots to take pictures and make a very comfortable trip for me and my husband. He not only took us safely, but we enjoyed his easygoing personality and knowledge on the Cape Town Peninsula. Beyond our expectations.
