Pre Rup, Siem Reap, Cambodia Today we visit the most interesting temples outside Angkor Thom city. Departing your hotel at 8.00 am, you begin with first stop at Pre Rup Hindu temple built as the state temple of Khmer king Rajendravarman and dedicated in 961 or early 962. It is a temple mountain of combined brick, laterite and sandstone construction. 90 minutes
Banteay Srei, Siem Reap, Cambodia Continue a drive for the intricately carved and well-preserved Banteay Srei. The detailed reliefs on this smaller sandstone structure are regarded as the finest, most skillfully crafted in Cambodia. Banteay Srei has only been accessible since the late 1990s, when the Khmer Rouge left the area. We end our touring at Angkor with lunch at the temple (own expense), and a short rest. 180 minutes
Neak Pean, Siem Reap, Cambodia Move to Neak Pean, an artificial island with a Buddhist temple. 40 minutes
Preah Khan, Siem Reap, Cambodia Construction of this site was commissioned by the great 'temple builder' Jayavaraman VII (in honour of his father) and a visit to this smaller site makes for an interesting contrast with the more imposing Angkor Wat. Preah Khan is currently being restored by the World Monument Fund and in places is in remarkably good condition. 60 minutes

Our guide Chea Sok was exceptional. He was very knowledgeable, had excellent English, was passionate about Cambodia’s cultural heritage and was very attentive to our needs. Would recommend a day on bikes, great fun.

Good small group tour. Saw all planned sights - Pre Rub, Neak Pean, Preah Khan, Banteay Srei and Bakheng temples. Unfortunately, cloud interfered with the sunset view, but still a nice view of Angkor Wat in the distance.
Restaurant for lunch (not included) was very good.
Our Guide, Sopheaprath, provided a lot of detailed information at the sights, though often prolonged explanations while we stood in the sun. Unfortunately, not much information provided on what you could see while driving along.
Our driver, Mr Moa, always made cold water available while getting on and off the bus. Cold towels were very much appreciated when provided.

I had a great tour visiting the temples around Angkor Wat. My guide Mr Sok Chea was excellent. He was very knowledgeable about the history of the sites that we visited and was able to answer the questions of anyone in the group. The air conditioned bus ride was comfortable and the cold water and towels were definitely welcomed in the hot weather. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. Fantastic service.
