We had a bucket list of things to see in Quito, but only one day to see them. On this tour, we saw almost all of them (except for the Teleférico - you can’t do everything!). We saw the beautiful countryside from Pululahua Reserve, the equator exhibits at Intinan Museum, more exhibits, including paintings by Oswaldo Guayasamin, at Ciudad Mitad del Mundo, the Basílica del Voto Nacional and the Old Town.
We had a lovely lunch in the Old Town (cost on your own), toured and sampled at a chocolate distributor and viewed Iglesia de la Compañía de Jesús.
We drove up the hill where the 150 foot tall statue of Madonna towers over Quito. The views of Quito from here are spectacular.
We drove to these sites in a very comfortable bus, with explanations from our knowledgeable and fun guide, Felipe. While we saw a lot, we never felt rushed.
I have recommended this tour to friends who are visiting Quito. I highly recommend it.
