People can´t skip this tour, Ruta de Las Flores is a fascinating journey over Apaneca mountain range. Along this tour we will visit some indigenous background villages, where you will enjoy of a lot of traditions, delicious food, coffee plantation tours, murals, enjoyable weather and more. The trip begins in Nahuizalco, known for its local market and the indigenous people , few kilometers above the mountains we stop in Juayúa, where you visit the main church of El Cristo Negro and main plaza, (during the weekends you enjoy the food festival of Juayúa) , then we continue to Apaneca, There we will stop for a coffee tour and coffee tasting at Entre Nubes plantation. Following the route, we will find Ataco, a colorful town, popular for the murals decorating several of the houses around as well as the main souvenir shop street.

We arranged a tour of the Ruta de Las Flores from El Zonte with EC tours and it was so worth it! Eduardo (our guide) and Nelson (our driver) picked us outside our accommodation right on time, Nelson was a great driver and we felt really safe with him and Eduardo was great at explaining everything and making sure we got to experience as much as possible! We particularly loved the coffee plantation and the market (where you can try lots of delicious local street food). Eduardo and Nelson were also both really nice down to earth guys and we thought we were really lucky to have them leading our tour! We also booked a shuttle to Leon from El Zonte with EC tours and it was really good. Really recommend using EC tours, especially if you want to visit Ruta de Las Flores

After a last minute change in our cruise ship's excursions, I contacted Edwin to help my family plan our private day trip for four. He replied very quickly, and we planned the day via What's App. Edwin and Carlos, our driver, met us at the pier and were so helpful with my elderly father. We decided on visiting the Ruta de Las Flores and a coffee farm. We were very interested in learning more about the history of El Salvador, and Edwin was very knowledgable. The towns were beautiful, and everyone we met were very friendly. We loved our visit to El Salvador, and I would love to return. I plan to work with Edwin for future trips to Central America.
