Just had a great day with Barry from Reflections Travel. I had booked the tour months before and kind of forgot all the details. Barry was flexible with the day, to do what I wanted and was great at directing me to the most special areas. Getting past the crowds and by the sales people. Only the King of Spain took precedence. He was in town touring the same places we were so we had to stay ahead, or behind, or out of his way. We did get a picture of the King of Spain though. His local knowledge helped us get around and complete our day when it looked we might be blocked. No, Barry got us through. I’d say we’re friends now after our day.

Overall, the tour itself was very good. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, and explained the history and culture in a way that made the experience very enjoyable. I appreciated the organization and the effort put into making the day special. However, I did have a negative experience at one of the stops. The guide took us to a spice shop that he personally recommended, but unfortunately the prices there were extremely inflated. I was interested in buying something, but the situation quickly became uncomfortable because of the way the shop handled the sale. It felt more like pressure than a genuine experience. I want to be clear that this did not ruin the entire tour, but it was disappointing. When tourists trust their guide, they expect recommendations to be safe and fair. Stops like this can create distrust, even if the rest of the tour is excellent. That being said, I still value the guide’s work and will leave a good rating overall, but I strongly suggest avoiding this kind of shop in the future. It would make the tour experience even better and more trustworthy.

Ali was a wonderful guide . He was very knowledgeable about the history and told fascinating stories that brought everything to life for me. He answered my questions fully and with respect. We were also able to enjoy some humour together . Best tour I have had in Egypt!!
