Today we had an amazing tour through out the dales , our tour guide John.S was amazing he has a lot of stories and information, although it was 8 hours trip we did not feel tired or bored because of the outstanding views and our lovely amazing personality guide John S

My husband, young adult daughter and I had a wonderful visit today to the Yorkshire Dales with Mountain Goat Tours. John was our driver and guide and he did a wonderful job filling us in on the history of the area and all the colorful characters and stories that go with them. He repeated things occasionally which was very helpful as it was a lot of information to take in. It was a great mix of stops, two castles, views of the top on the moors, small towns and a ruined Abby, places used during the filming of All Creatures Great and Small and more. We loved every minute. And a sing a long and quiz with a cute prize at the end!

I’ve had this tour planned since 2019 and it was all I’d hoped it would be and then some. I was an avid reader of the “All Creatures Great and Small” books as well as the BBC television series. Experiencing the Yorkshire Dales, it’s villages, farms, fields, castles and vistas was just stunning. An experience not to miss as part of a visit to York. Our driver, John did a wonderful job taking us through small villages and country roads for absolutely magnificent views of the Dales and the countryside. Well done, John!
