This tour is a must see experience when visiting the Gambia. The car journey to the park takes a while but on the way you get to see how people live in the up country. It is well worth the visit. A guide from The River Gambian National Park will board the boat and give an informing talk and answer any questions

    This is an overnight tour it is an early start to travel to The River Gambia National Park. The drive takes 4 hours to arrive at Kuntaur. Where you will go on a boat on the River Gambia. From here you will observe the Hippos and Chimpanzees. You will also see many birds and sometimes Baboons.the Boat trip takes 2 hours. We will then stay overnight at Janjanbureh camp and drive back the next day.

Gita in barca, viste due scimmie, pagata extra la guida del parco per l' ingresso (150 dalasi), niente ippopotamo, niente alligatori, niente di niente. Solo le parole dei barcaioli che ti propongono sempre l' orario migliore in base alle tue esigenze: quindi, qualunque orario è ottimo. Bassa marea, alta, mattino o pomeriggio.

Via de organisatie gambianexcursions geleid door de lokale gids Suwaibou hebebn we onder andere dit park bezocht. Het voordeel van een lokale gids is dat hij jou veel meer kan vertellen. Dit was een rustgevende expeditie. Via de boot zoeken achter de nijlpaarden en de chimpansees, maar ook de lokale vogels zijn hier overal te spotten. Het was zeer lang rijden vanuit ons Hotel aan de kust, maar gecombineerd met andere bezoeken in dit deel van het land zeker de moeite waard.

I had a very enjoyable day travelling through the countryside to Kuntaur where I got on a motor boat and went on the River Gambia where a guide have a talk about the Chimpanzees and the rehabilitation centre. We saw 2 hippos and many different birds. It was a very relaxing peaceful trip. Very enjoyable experience
