Our tour guide was very nice. The description of the tour said lunch, snacks and water included. We did not get lunch or snacks and the only water was sparkling which neither of us wanted. We were taken to the township and dropped off with a local for a walking tour inside the township. This was very interesting but we felt extreme pressure to donate money, to the point we felt uncomfortable . I feel we should receive some money back.

We had a wonderful driver/guide called MK. He picked us up on time and was very enthusiastic. He asked us what we were interested to see. He was very informative. We visited the one roomed home of a mother and 2 children in the poorest area of Soweto and that was very disturbing to see - food is cooked on a primus stove, communal taps are used for all water supply and there is no indoor plumbing. The Hector Pieterson Museum was very interesting but we did not have enough time to finish viewing it. We viewed Nelson Mandela's home and finished our tour with lunch. It would've been nice to have had a set menu to choose from. I would reccomend this tour.
