    Take the panoramic gondolas to Fräkmüntegg. Then hop aboard the aerial cableway "Dragon Ride" and enjoy the jaw dropping views out of the panoramic windows, especially designed to give the feeling of flying. Once at the top of Mt Pilatus (2132 m), venture down the Dragon's Path or go for short hike to the summit. Afterwards relax on the panorama terrace admiring magnificent views over the surrounding mountains of the Swiss Alps and the blue lakes in the valleys below. Different restaurants invite for lunch. The highlight of this day is probably the thrilling descent on the world's steepest cogwheel railway** (48% gradient) down to Alpnachstad. Here you board the boat for a lovely 1-hour cruise on the beautiful Lake of the Four Cantons and enjoy the spectacular landscape from an entirely different angle. This tour was excellent. Our guide was with us the whole time exept at lunch. He was able to access all the sites we wanted to see plus adjust our schedule to our personal needs. The weather was tricky but we errred on the side of cold and were happy for it. One problem right away was with our pickup time at 8:00am. It had been verified several times before the tour by email but Swiss Tours never verified with Viator that the actuall pick up time was 9:00am. We don't feel we missed anything. Our guide was top- notch and apologized. We understood it was not his responsibility to notify Viator but Swiss Tours. The two companies need to work together better.

Our guide was great! He showed us all of the highlights of Lucerne and made sure we were able to take in all of the amazing mountain views at Mount Pilatus.
