Explore the little harbor and La Piazzetta (the main square) with its picturesque colored houses. Take the up-hill road to reach the San George’s church or the Castle Brown, which are the best view point to see the wonderful steep cliff that draws the coast. Stop for lunch and relax before driving to Santa Margherita Ligure: walk along the ancient fisherman’s port, you can still see the old fisherman’s houses, which co-exist with the luxury modern hotels. After some leisure time to spend through the streets of “Santa”, as locals use to call it, your driver will take you back to Genoa port or hotel.

Hello - We recently cruised with MSC Cruises and at the port of Genoa used the services of a local taxi driver Andre. We did not have a reservation but once we disembarked, Andre was there with his taxi and we negotiated a rate of Euro 230 (+ tips) for Portofino, Santa Margherita and then he left us at the Genoa square and it was a 10-15 mins back to the cruise port. Andre was polite, professional, friendly and safe to travel with and accepts credit cards. Andre and his colleagues are usually outside the Genoa cruise port.

This company went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful tour. They had fantastic communication before the tour (including a text the day before, just to make sure we knew the pickup location, time, and guide’s name). The car was VERY nice, and since we had an infant with us, they had an infant seat ready to go for him. Matteo was our guide and he was very informative and entertaining. We loved our day exploring spectacular Portofino and “Santa”.

Próximo año visitaré Portofino. Lo mejor es alquilar un Yate y recorrer una buena parte de las islas bellas Que existen en esa región bella. Ahí nació mi gran amigo Paolo Alfieri Darra, Que perdí el contacto hace cómo 20 años???
