The guide awaits you at the Genova Principe station to take the historic rack railway up to the hill of the Port of Genoa. Get off at the Granarolo terminus, a quiet hamlet characterized by villas, forts and historic powder magazines and known for a fantastic, unusual panorama over the city of Genoa. From here begins an easy walk in the woods that takes you on the traces of the Roman road, the Via Postumia which connects Genoa to Aquileia in a distance of about 930 km. Go down along an ancient brick road and reach Bolzaneto.

Viviana was a great guide. She met us at the cruise boat terminal and walked us over . It was not a long walk to the postumia. We walked around once we got to the top. We also toured the local community . Viviana was so nice and personable . I highly recommend
