We did Ananuri-Gudauri-Kazbegi-Rabati-Borjumi with Travel Doors.
we had a beautiful Trip organized by SNTT in Sharjah and coordinated well with Travel Doors in Georgia. We had a personalized vehicle, beautiful toor guide Gvantza who made this trip memorable. We stayed in Tbilisi and went to the following places every day. there was a local restaurant opposite to our Hotel where we used to taste the Local Cuisine. A short synopsis is below.
Day-1 Cornicles of Georgia-located near Tbilisi Sea.
There are 16 pillars that are between 30–35 meters tall and the top half features kings, queens and heroes while the bottom part depict stories from the life of Christ. It took 39 years to complete this sculpture by Zurab Konstantinovich Tsereteli who is the Georgian-Russian sculptor and architect.
Day-2 Georgia Gadauri (Kazbegi) Trip
Gadauri trip was an amazing lifetime experience for us during winter..
Caucasus mountain range have it’s own beauty in different season which are versatile and very much different from each other.
Our day of visit recorded temperature minus(-)7 degree at 12 noon. Sky was partly cloudy and mystically played between Sun and Cloud.
Day-3- Kakheti Region (East of Georgia)
Kakheti Region is famous for Grapevines and wine production, At least 80% of imported Georgian Wine is produced in this region. There are at least 520 types of grapes which are grown and then wine is produced in the Georgian traditional way.
"Signagi" is the famous ancient town settled in old stone age in this region, protected by walls looks like " Great Wall of China" to protect Signaks from various attack through Caucuses Mountain.
"Bodbe Monastry" is the Georgian Orthodox monastic built on the Georgian Saint St. Nino’s Grave. This is a famous pilgrim and functions as “Nunnery” now.
Day-4 (Georgia - Borjomi Region Visit)
Borjomi is located at the south-west region of Georgia, Famous for Natural Mineral Water coming from direct underground volcanic source.
Borjomi springs were discovered by the Imperial Russian military in the 1820s.
Trekking through the forest , Off-road driving and Natural Sulphur Bath ( from natural sulphur water source) is must do things here.
Just 20 km away from Turkey border, Rich in history, This fortress(almost a city) was build by Georgian king, had a serious system of city-wide fortifications – high walls, guarded entrance gates and watch towers.
Despite of several Ottoman and Mongol attack this fortress withstood and continued to thrive. Inside have a beautiful Citadel (most fortified place of the fortress) , A Mosque (Ottoman/Turk Arch), A Madrasa and a Church (European Arch) all together in diversity.
