Located in the Great Caucasus Range, Mount Kazbegi, at 5.033 meters is third highest mountain in Georgia, 160 km north-east from Tbilisi. Mount Kazbek is associated in Georgian folklore with Amirani, the Georgian version of Prometheus, who was chained on the mountain in punishment for having stolen fire from the gods and having given it to mortals. On the slope of mount Kazbegi is located Gergeti Trinity Church (XIV c) at the altitude 2.175 m. This amazing small church attracts travellers for its wonderful location and amazing view on the top of mount Kazbegi and river Dariali gorge.

Ich war in Georgien in 2019 und hatte auf meine private Erfahrung aus 2017 eine Tagestour mit Colour Tour Georgia nach Kazbegi über die georgische Heerstrasse gebucht. Absolue Spitze von der Organisation über die ausgebildete Reiseführerin und erfahrenen Fahrer. Alles hat perfekt geklappt und wir können die Agentur nur weiterempfehlen. Ich planne immer noch eine Reise nach Georgien mit Colour Tour Georgia. Die Webseite der Reiseagentur informiert uns dass die Touristen die gleiche reise durch Georgische Heerstraße auch mit Räder verfügbar ist. Ich schwärme davon und planne diesen Tour im 2021. Für alle die Georgien und seinen herzlichen und gastfreundlichen Menschen einen Besuch abstatten, kann ich COLOUR TOUR GEORGIA nur ans Herz legen. Hier bekommt man wirklich viel für sein Geld.
