Let me start by expressing my gratitude to Amiran, our private tour guide, with a Hawaiian Mahalo for being truly remarkable.
We had the most incredible day on this tour. This was my first private tour, and I loved it.
My wife planned this trip so I did not know what was waiting for us.
The Mountains.
Throughout the trip, we encountered breathtaking mountain views and made several stops to appreciate them. The scenery was so awe-inspiring that it reminded me of the vistas depicted in the Lord of the Rings. Every direction we turned offered a stunning moment that left us in wonder.
One more fantastic destination we visited was the Gudauri Friendship Monument. This vibrant panoramic edifice boasts Soviet-style mosaics portraying the feats of Georgian and Russian heroes. Amiran showed off his photo taking skills and captured us mid-air while jumping.
The Monastery.
The experience moved us to tears and provided numerous opportunities for taking photos. However, photography inside the monastery was not permitted due to its sacred nature. We were awestruck by the magnificent paintings and paid homage to them by lighting candles.
The Meal.
Not included in the cost, but totally worth the price. Friends, the name of the restaurant (English Translation) we invited Amiran to eat with us and he was delighted.
Overall, we were extremely content with our experience, and as we plan our next visit to Tbilisi, we look forward to arranging our second tour with Amiran to explore his hometown of Kakheti.
