There is no bad time to visit Kazbegi, apart from the rare occasion in winter when the roads are closed and the town is unreachable. I've been lucky enough to visit Kazbegi in every season and it's amazing how much the landscape and the feel of the place changes throughout the year. Elevation: 1,740 m Population: 1,326 (2014) Gergeti Trinity Church (Georgian: Tsminda Sameba) is a popular name for Holy Trinity Church near the village of Stepantsminda in Georgia. The church is situated on the right bank of the river Chkheri (the left tributary of the river Terek), at an elevation of 2170 meters (7120 feet), under Mount Kazbek.
