    Afterwards we move to Gelati monastery of 12th century. There are 3 big churches, an academy, grave of David the Builder, bell tower and houses of monks in the complex. It was built by the greatest Georgian King David The Builder.

    Motsameta monastery is related to story of tortured brother lords David and Constantine Mkheidze. It’s built on the cliff and is surrounded by the river from 3 sides. The nature and colors around monastery are amazing.

  • Baia's Wine, Meore Obcha, Georgia
    By the Lunch time we visit family winery “Baia’s wine” located in Bagdati municipality, village Obcha. Firstly, Baia and Gvantsa (Baia’s sister) show us vineyard that is just behind their house. Then we move to wine cellar to test several types of wines they have. They produce “Tsolikouri”, “Krakhuna”, “Aladasturi”, “Ojaleshi”, “Otskhanuri Sapere” and of course “Chacha”. Afterwards we sit around big table full of Georgian food. Their mom makes the most delicious Imerian food you’ll ever try.

Good tour to discover some highlights in Kutaisi ( the Gelati is closed for the moment for restauration) and a visit to a wineyard ( Baia & family), both our guide Saba and Baia gave us good insights and patiently answered questions. Last but not least: the Georgian spread was amazing!

This tour was fantastic ! We got to learn so much thanks to our guide. The beautiful religious architecture, the history of Gerogia, the interesting spots in Kutaissi, the wine culture... It was very fun and thanks to our guide we felt very safe during the whole time.

We had the best tour guide ever, George! We really enjoyed the informative tour around the city, most especially during the wine and dine tour! George is a certified toast master! We loved the authentic Georgian food and the very warm hospitality of the owners of the vineyard that we have visited. Plus an interaction with Bingo, a very kind and sweet dog. I would really love to come back! ????♥️
