The experience of discovering how german speaking immigration shaped the town look & feel, the architecture, and the mountain sports culture since the begining of times. This set the basis for the arrival of the last wave of immigation including the nazi presence (Erik Priebke). This also triggered some stories about Hitler living in the area. We wil explore evidence of all the above.

We learned a lot on this tour. Diego provided a bunch of very interesting background information about the history of Bariloche. We walked around many of the actual locations and neighborhoods Diego was describing, with Diego backing his dialog up with laminated articles for us to see. Throughout the tour Diego answered everyone’s questions clearly and openly. The tour went by quickly as it was very entertaining.

Fantastic tour with Diego, who was super knowledgeable and kind. He clearly knows his stuff and we both felt like we learned A LOT during the tour. Diego told things as they were. It's history after all, and the facts speak for themselves. It's worth remembering, and this is a fantastic way to do so in my opinion. Especially for history nerds. Do note that Bariloche in general is uphill, and so is the tour naturally. So just an FYI.
