I was very pleased with the Traditional Naming Ceremony! Everyone was very welcoming and lively. Hassan did a great job of explaining landmarks/activities as the trip progressed and made sure to provide a smooth ride to and from our destination.

This was an amazing experience, especially for an African American like myself. The people are welcoming and the naming ceremony is very spiritual and joyous. The tour guide and driver were courteous and friendly. I would definitely recommend this tour to others

At the closing of the year, myself, with a group of 9 others, made the decision to travel to Accra, Ghana for the first time to connect with our roots during the Year of Return. We booked only 3 experiences with Tichama Tours, but they went above and beyond to ensure that our full 9-day experience was unforgettable. Hassan and his team made sure that we had reliable transportation throughout, to make it to all of the things on our "to-see" list.
The excursions we selected with Tichama, were: the Cultural Village Tour with Naming Ceremony, the Day trip to Kakum National Park, Elmina & Cape Coast Castles, and the Accra City Tour. In route to each of these, Hassan was able to provide us with such a wealth of knowledge concerning the country, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Beyond our daytime tours, the team worked overtime to make sure that we knew all of the best restaurants to visit and even provided us some nightlife options, for those of us that had a little extra energy at the end of the day. I am so happy to have stumbled across Tichama Tours. Accommodating a group of 10 is not always an easy feat, but they did so, and seamlessly. I will definitely be contacting them again when we plan our visit back to Accra.
We always double-check the availability with our local partners for each booking. Even though this is usually a swift process, it can take up to 24 hours. Once this process is completed you will receive your voucher or ticket by email. If our local partner is not able to confirm your booking we will offer you the best possible alternative. If the new date and/or time doesn’t fit your itinerary, we will reimburse the full amount paid.
How great that you want to share your experience! Your feedback helps other travelers to make a better choice.
