As a group of friends who enjoy a city break each autumn, we love a good food tour, and this was a great experience! It's great as an introduction to the city and although we did the tour at the end of our visit, we learnt so much and it helped us to put things into place. Great stops and food experiences, we strolled happily through Girona with two great couples from the USA with us on the tour. Daniel, our guide, was very happy to answer questions and led us through the tastings very well.

I really enjoyed this tour. The tour guide, Daniel was very knowledgeable and willing to answer all questions. I also liked that it was not just food but, history of the town also. My highlights were the thick hot chocolate with the xioxo, the amazing paella and the glorious ice cream at the end. I was very full! My son and daughter also enjoyed the tour. The only comment I would like to make is that there could have been more options for a vegetarian! For instance vegetable paella and the tastings in the market could have been adapted easily. We were also sad that there was no cheese tasting but, understood why this was. A great way to taste what the region has to offer and get pointers on other places to eat , whilst getting your bearings and understanding some history.

This tour of a beautiful and captivating city was made all the more interesting by our tour guide, the equally beautiful and captivating Gina. Her extensive knowledge of the history of the city (with fascinating insight into the socio economic and political aspects) really brought the story of Girona and Catalonia to life. Her warm, open personality made us feel like we were being shown all the secret, favourite places by your best friend and her truly excellent English was a godsend. We MAY have taught her some new, somewhat unsavoury, english phrases to add to her vocabulary, but in our defence she started it with a trip to the Caganer shop. This our is without doubt the best catered historical walking tour you could ever imagine I wish we had booked this tour for our first day, not the last. I cannot recommend this tour, and Gina in particular, highly enough.
