    The Great Pyramid of Giza is the oldest and largest of the three pyramids in the Giza pyramid complex bordering present-day Giza in Greater Cairo, Egypt. It is the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, and the only one to remain largely intact. The original entrance to the Great Pyramid is on the north, 17 meters (56 ft.) vertically above ground level and 7.29 meters (23.9 ft.) east of the centerline of the pyramid. From this original entrance, there is a Descending Passage 0.96 meters (3.1 ft.) high and 1.04 meters (3.4 ft.) wide, which goes down at an angle of 26° 31'23" through the masonry of the pyramid and then into the bedrock beneath it. After 105.23 meters (345.2 ft.), the passage becomes level and continues for an additional 8.84 meters (29.0 ft.) to the lower Chamber, which appears not to have been finished. Wir waren mit unseren beiden Kindern (9 und 11 Jahre) für einen Tag in Kairo und wollten so viel wie möglich an Eindrücken und Sehenswürdigkeiten mit nehmen wie es nur geht. Unser Guide Nasser hat uns einen tollen, ganz unserem Tempo angepassten Tag bereitet. Nichts müssen, viel dürfen von den Pyramiden bis zum Museum top organisiert und sehr freundlich begleitet. Vielen Dank für einen unvergesslichen Tag in Kairo!

We had a short time in Cairo and did a 1 and half day tour with Egypt Direct Tours covering downtown Cairo, Pyramids + Museums. Without a doubt we can highly recommend Egypt Direct Tours as a great company to tour around Egypt. Our guide Nasser was very helpful and knowledgeable, it did not feel like he was out to make money from us or get us to purchase unnecessary gifts. In fact he actually helped us to stay “safe” from scams and people hassling you in the street. We never felt rushed and could go where we pleased for as long as we liked. He speaks good English but with the Egyptian accent it can be a bit hard to understand sometimes. Our driver Hassan was great at driving us around the crazy roads of Cairo! Of course thanks to Ahmed for organising the trip and itinerary. Overall we can’t say anything bad about EGT other than we wished we could stay longer and visit more of Egypt.
